Welcome, let’s get creative!
The anticipation of the looming recession has everyone I know questioning how they’re going to get through the tough times ahead. So many issues in the world from global warming, to the economic mess, not to mention the international upheavals, have us feeling so out of control. Now I don’t pretend to be able to solve all the problems in the world, but I would like a place to share solutions for what I can control in my world, and in my own environment.
The focus of “decolog” is to give a platform for creative thinking. We’ll be covering a range of decorating issues, as well as topics on our homes, our small businesses, and the daily up’s and down’s we all go through, that give us the opportunity to learn and share with others. I will also focus on the most environmentally friendly way to accomplish those issues.
As we go along, I’ll add projects and ideas to reclaim and transform simple and ordinary objects (walls, home décor, and furniture) into unique pieces of art and treasured possessions.
A prolific writer, I am not, so I appeal to you, the visitor, to contribute to this blog. Do you have a home decorating challenge? Do you have an uncoordinated piece of furniture or home décor item that you would like to reclaim? Maybe you made color choice that’s now driving you crazy? Or, on the flip side, do you have a creative solution that made you really proud of yourself?
I’ll be inviting experts to contribute, and offer advice. As they arrive, we’ll add them to the Bio’s, so check back often.
